Background

American Truck Bodies and Repair, Inc. is a California Corporation with its headquarters based in Fontana, California. The company occupies 2,400-sq. ft. of office space, over 18,600-sq. ft. under roof for manufacturing and sits on 3 acres in the heart of the trucking hub, in Fontana.

American’s main business is manufacturing various van bodies, stake bed’s, flatbeds, custom bodies, and repairing bodies of all types. American also distributes all types of truck equipment, lift gates, lighting, hoists and accessories.

President

The company’s President, Mr. Ralph Giordani has over 21 years of experience in the transportation industry. His prior positions have included V. P. and Director of Marketing of a regional body manufacturer and a District Sales Manager of one on the largest lift gate manufacturer’s in the United States. In 1997, Mr. Giordani and his partner Amado Torres founded American Truck Bodies & Repair, Inc. and the company has grown to over 48 employees and has established itself as a major supplier for the transportation industry.

Executive Vice President

The company’s Executive Vice President, Mr. Amado Torres, has over 32 years of experience. This experience includes the designing and manufacturing of various truck bodies for several different truck body companies. He also has assembled a very competent crew of dedicated technicians who have a combined experience of over 175 years. Mr. Torres has also recently designed some new truck bodies for the mobile billboard industry, landscape/crewscape industry, motion picture industry/camera truck and studio recessed fifth wheel stake bed.

Mr. Giordani and Mr. Torres have formed this company to provide quick and high quality truck bodies and repair to the transportation industry. (See enclosed line card for product and services offered, attachment #1)

American’s Business Strategy

Because of our long-standing reputation, our customers have stayed with us through the years and when we opened our own business in October of 1997, they were very eager to help us with orders and wished us great success.

Part of our strategy was to go after the specialty market, including glass hauling bodies, trailer modification, nursery bodies, ten ton studio bodies, and the other bodies mentioned earlier designed by Mr. Torres. Most of the other truck body manufacturers have stayed with the traditional type bodies. We have few real competitors in the Western United States who we go up against. We have been growing our customer base over the last five years. We of course also do the traditional van body and stake bed's you would be more familiar with.

The other market we have gone after is repairs. We have performed many repairs for rental companies, freight companies, studios, and all other type of bodies and industries. Their repairs include overhead damage, door repairs, lift gates, toolboxes, etc. The vast majority of the movie and television industry has come to rely on Mr. Giordani’s and Torres’ experience and service.
